HorizonX
Starting a business, turned from scattered steps into one connected journey.
I organised the marketplace around the owner’s progress, not the transaction.

- UX/UI, interaction, prototyping, design system
- Sector
- B2B marketplace
- Problem
- Business owners juggle separate suppliers, services and subscriptions, without seeing what’s done or what’s next.
- My part
- Product designer: UX/UI, interaction, prototypes and design system, from idea to handoff.
- Key decision
- Organising the marketplace around the business’s progress in “My Store Journey”, not a catalogue.
- Evidence
- 100+ screens on one system, and four purchase models in one cart.
- Result
- A complete design handed to development. No usage numbers published.
The challenge
Starting a business means juggling many details at once.
Cleaning, branding, marketing, equipment, payment systems and operations are usually handled separately, so an owner struggles to see what’s needed, what’s done and what comes next. HorizonX had to gather all of it without becoming a complicated catalogue.
Product idea
More than a marketplace: a journey to build a business.
Owners see what their business needs, find the right providers, complete each requirement and track progress in one place.

My Store Journey
Business setup as clear, manageable steps.
Setup splits into categories, identity, marketing, training, cleaning, equipment, each showing its status, available providers and next action, so progress replaces a confusing to-do list.
Progress
One completion figure that explains everything.
Instead of dozens of scattered tasks, the business status collapses into one figure, with categories beneath, done, in progress, not started, plus the next action, and roll-up across branches.
Buying
One marketplace, four ways to buy.
Physical products, scheduled services, monthly subscriptions and one-time solutions, each needs different information before the cart, with a familiar interaction throughout.
Cart & orders
One cart that keeps the important differences.
Each item keeps its details, service slot, location, subscription length, quantity, under one order summary and one checkout. After payment, completed services feed the business journey, so every purchase ties to a bigger goal.
Design system
One visual system across 100+ screens.
Outcome
One connected experience for building a business.
The final design links planning, discovery, purchasing, orders and progress in a single mobile product. My biggest lesson: the hard part wasn’t individual screens but one system that supports very different purchase models without feeling fragmented.
